During 1998 further agricultural expansion occurred with the acquisition of land at Langhorne Creek for a vineyard development which was to supply grapes to the Orlando Wyndham Group. The first vines were planted in the spring of 1998 with progressive plantings occurring over the following years.
In January 1999 the CMV Group acquired a Kenworth and Mitsubishi dealership in Melbourne trading as the Hallam Truck Centre. This operation serves south eastern Melbourne and surrounding regions.
Further developments took place in Victoria during 1999 with the Volvo dealership at Clayton moving to purpose built premises to better serve the customer base of that area.

These businesses had previously operated independently.
In December 2005 CMV Truck & Bus, the Melbourne metropolitan dealer for Volvo trucks and buses, was appointed as the Volvo truck dealer for the Gippsland region in Victoria.
